Senior Accountant Financial Statements (FS)

Purpose of the Job:

We seek a candidate with 2 to 6 years of experience in Record to Report (R2R). Key skills include balance sheet reconciliation, financial statement preparation, and bank reconciliation. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Record to Report, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Financial statement preparation, Bank Reconciliation, and Good communication skills.
2. Preparation of end-to-end financial statements, including General Ledger and Bank Reconciliation.
3. Responsible for completing all the routine activities related to preparing, reviewing, and finalizing financials.
4. Work on complex tasks like inter-company reconciliation and true-up entries, consolidation, cleaning up old and outstanding items, researching any ad-hoc requests from clients, etc., and respond accordingly.
5. Review tasks assigned to associates/analysts that are aligned with them and provide the findings.
6. Prepare a complete package with comments on financials and work papers for the manager or a US accountant to review for final approval.
7. Preparation of budget set-ups in client reports.
8. Responsible for accurate and timely delivery of financials (IS/BS/Cash Flow, Trend reports, Work-papers/Customized Reports, etc.) and other ad-hoc client requests as per TAT and quality parameters defined.
9. Update process notes, SOPs, checklists, financial delivery log, timesheets, activity tracker, and other MIS as per timelines.
10. Tracking and ensuring timely response to all emails, by self or junior team members. The manager’s assistance is to be taken if required to understand complex emails.
11. Take the lead on new client transitions under the manager’s guidance.
12. Take ownership and ensure completion of any other ad-hoc tasks the manager assigns.
13. Train new team members on the process as per the requirement.
14. Based on business requirements, attend and discuss open issues with clients on regular calls for the assigned accounts or tasks (along with the manager).
